Okay so I am in love with artists and bands like Fiest, Alanis Morissette, Tegan and Sara, Dashboard Confessional, Daphne loves Derby, Motion City Soundtrack, Cartel, Conor Oburst [Bright Eyes], Taking Back Sunday, Just Jack, The Scene Aesthetic and tons of others....I am really looking for more bands like these with a soft/quirky/fun sound. I'd appreciate the help!

alot of the new indie bands got their influence from old music.
bob dylan, simon and garfunkel. johnny cash.
also check out rilo kiley, over rated but i love them.
one more thing, check out the garden state soundtracks.
