Does anybody remember Neighbours in the very early days (1986)?

Wasn't Paul Robinson a good guy at that time ? What ever happened to change that ?
Reply:Yep. I used to come home from school at lunch-time, watch it, and then go back to school and fill everyone in on the goings-on and shenanigans. (In those very early days it was on at lunch-time and the episode was repeated at about 9 the next morning - no early evening epsiode back then.)



I loved Daphne. She was 1980s in every way, she really was.

And I liked Maria (Max's wife) - she was Bulgarian or something, if I remember correctly.



Clive Gibbons! Zoe! Mike! Nel Mangel! Shane! Danny! The first Lucy (the girl who played her clearly had an adenoids problem)!



One of favourites, though, was Des's mum, Eileen. "Yooo-hooooo, Desmond."

Reply:Yes very clear Daphne off and on with des eventually married had a child and she died very sad at time.

Sons and Daughters was on at same time as well lol

Reply:Yeah baby yeah. Mrs. Mangel + Madge Ramsey + Harold Bishop= entertainment gold. My heavens, how that once mighty show has plummeted.
Reply:oh yes, helen was paul robinsons grandmother (hes still in it!), des and daphne got married and scott got married to kylies character.

the acting has improved just but the dress sense has come on loads!!!
Reply:Remember when the first lucy fell down that well and went blind? What about when Daphne had her baby without taking her tights off? "Des, you wingnut!" Plain Jane Superbrain! Used to play neighbours in break time at school, we all used to fight over who was going to be Charlene.
Reply:Used to watch the Ramsays %26amp; Robinsons at it while I was dogging school, lol.

Remember old Mrs Mangle growing the hash plants in her garden...?

Reply:They were the best days! Not as good now! Me and my daughter have got a DVD of all the key episodes of the early days, Scott and Charlenes wedding, The birth of Des and Daphnes son, Daphnes death, the transformation of Plain Jane, Todd getting run over and dying, the list goes on, I know it sounds sad, but its only a bit of fun reminising!!

Reply:Yep. Any Harold Bishop, boy how he's changed. Skye as a baby too. All gone now and Harold is leaving to, hes moving to Port Douglas to be with Skye and Kerry. But it is supposed to be changing to a part-time character so I'm assuming he'll be visiting alot.
