Was the Scooby Doo gang on drugs?

Seems to me that Scooby and Shaggy were the pot heads, Velma was on acid and Fred and Daphne were on cocaine? Does anybody else see any similarities of Mystery Inc. to everyday drug heads?

Shaggy and Scooby definitely on pot! LOL! I think Velma was more on cocaine of something that she could stay focused on, and Daphne and Fred more of the trippers, since they were sometimes all over the place. And of course the van is a dead giveaway, but only to those of us with a hazy recollection of the late 60's and early 70's.

Reply:Shaggy was definitely a pot head, and Scooby, by default and second hand smoke, was always a tad stoned. I didn't notice this when I was a kid, but it's sooooooooooo obvious now. I don't think people did much Coke back then. But acid maybe. They certainly saw a lot of strange things, didn't they?

Reply:Yeah, I really agree with you with Scooby and Shaggy being stoners, but not so much for Velma, Fred, and Daphne. They seemed too smart. But really, I have always wondered that.
