Our last name is Sleeper, we hope to get pregnant sometime this year. Hopefully I am now pregnant, but if not that's OK.

I love Daphne - it's a great choice and not terribly common.



Call out Emma on a crowded playground, and at least three little girls will answer. :)



Caleb and Elijah are both nice. I prefer Elijah, but just a bit.

Reply:Emma was the name I had picked out for a little girl before I was ever pregnant. When I became pg last year the name Emma was the #1 girl name in the country, so I went back to the drawing board. I didn't want my daughter, if that was what I was having, to share her name with 5 other girls in her Kindergarten class. Turns out I did have a girl, I used a family name, that I do now hear on occassion-but it's still more rare.

Daphne is my all-time favorite girl's name. It's so pretty and quirky and classic and underused and strong. I want to use Daphne Margaret. (Margaret's a family name.)



Caleb is cool. It's biblical, but not as overused as Elijah, Jacob, Noah, etc.



I'm sorry, I don't care much for Elijah. I know it's not a girl's name, but I don't think it sounds very strong.
