SURVEY: The one pet through your entire life you loved the most?

I cherish my sweet border collie, Nora, but there will never, ever be another border collie like my Daphne. Nora is so loved and people have the audacity to say I spoil her. We play and she feels safe with me and chats away with me and cries like crazy if I have to leave if even for an hour. She would never know there was one before her my heart will always ache for. It doesn't take away how precious Nora is to me now.

My Cat Trouble, she has been with us since I was like 5 we found her in the side of the road in a box with a bunch of other kittens but we couldnt keep them all. So we kept her and this other Cat (her sister) we named Lazy but after like 3 years Lazy was hit by a car. We gave some of their brothers and sisters to family members which some still have and the others we just gave away to people who wanted them. Trrouble has been with us ever since she is REALLY old though in her younger years she could literally scare dogs it was so funny our neighbor had a bull dog and it got off the chain and Trouble scared it back into their yard lol. She has survived like the 10 times we have moved and all that. I know when she dies I will get really sad.

My old dog that I had like 6 years ago was named Birdy, she was a Labrador. I never knew why we had to give her away. It was a night I was in my room and my dad who was living with us at that time came in my room and said "birdy come on" I was like "where are you taking her" he never answered I looked outside and saw a man standing out there with his truck and my dad took my dog outside and then I started crying and going crazy I tried running outside to try to save her but my mom was me back and I was crying the whole night the Last time I saw my dog was when I looked outside one last time and saw my dog staring straight at me whining. I am actuallty getting misty eyed writing this. That dog loved me and my parents took her away from me she used to sleep in my bed and would always be in my room when I was in there. I still miss her and what is really sad is we dont even have a pic of her. Well if we do I have never seen it. So yeah that is my story.
Reply:How the hell can you love one of your pets more then the others?

I have different kinds of bonds with all of my animals but the love I have for them is equal. Kind of ****** up to love one more then another, frankly.

Reply:I'm 16 and I've only had 3 dogs in my whole life. Casper, who passed away September 7, 2006 =*( And Pixie and Grace who have been with me since late September 2006.

I can't say that I love any of these dogs more than the other. But I can say that Casper and I had a MUCH more special bond. Though he was with me before I was even born, we've been threw everything together. He's been my angel since I was born, he was there when I came into the world and I was there when he left the world.

I do love Pixie and Grace to death, believe me, I do. But maybe it's cuz Casper was with me longer. I still have many, many, many years to grow a very strong bond with Pixie and Grace, to share my life with them like I did with Casper.

I miss Casper a lot, his face, his soft fur, his scent, everything about him, flaws and all. But I also think of what my life would be like without Pixie and Grace.... and the answer is, "hell". I couldn't imagine my life without them. I love my dogs to death, even my foster doggies =) I love them like my own, and when they get adopted it's really sad to see them leave my home. But I am also happy for them because they have found their forever home to grow old in, and gain that amazing bond that dogs give their new friend for life =)
