- In the passage below all the verbs have been left out. Make a list of the missing "verbs" in the order they should appear:

One day, Apollo the sun god, his dinner, to a walk Cupid, Apollo laughing. "What a baby like you the weapons of a warrior?" Cupid very angry. a gold-tipped arrow, he it into Apollo's chest. Apollo only street.
past them at that moment Daphne, a water nymph. by surprise, Apollo at her and immediately in love.
Would you please help me supply this with verbs only.
I tried but it is so hard. I also want you to tell me if this is doeable. You see, the professor is not a native speaker of English and I think that it doesn't make any sense. Am I right ? Or could it actually be supplied with verbs "only"?
Would you please help me with this English excercise?
The passage is definitely missing more than just verbs. I tried to complete it, but the sentence with Apollo only street does not make any sense. Something more than verbs is missing from it.
There WAS one god, younger than all the others, Cupid. USING his bows and arrows, he LIKED to SHOOT into the hearts of men and women, MAKING them FALL in love.
One day, Apollo the sun god, FINISHED his dinner, WENT (for) a walk (AND) SAW Cupid. Apollo SAID laughing. "What IS a baby like you DOING (WITH) the weapons of a warrior?" Cupid BECAME very angry. TAKING a gold-tipped arrow, he SHOT it into Apollo's chest. Apollo only CROSSED (THE) street.
WALKING past them at that moment WAS Daphne, a water nymph. TAKEN by surprise, Apollo LOOKED at her and immediately FELL in love.
Reply:I think this will work with you , but don't expect so much because i'm not a native speaker .
"There is one god, younger than all the others, Cupid throws His bows and arrows, he used to shoot into the hearts of men and women, fell them in love.

past them at that moment Daphne, a water nymph. by surprise, Apollo at LOOKED her and immediately FELL in love.
Yeah, this is really difficult. I can figure out a bit but this is as much as I could do.
Never mind the guy above me is way too good at this... :(
Reply:This piece is missing more than verbs, Some of it doesn't make much sense. Here's my best effort:
There was one god, younger than all the others, Cupid, who loved his bows and arrows. He would shoot arrows into the hearts of men and women, and they fell in love. One day, Apollo the sun god, out hunting for his dinner, met Cupid. Apollo was laughing. "What is a baby like you doing with the weapons of a warrior?" he asked. Cupid became very angry. He selected a gold-tipped arrow and shot it into Apollo's chest. Walking past them at that moment was Daphne, a water nymph. Taken by surprise, Apollo looked at her and immediately fell in love.
Reply:Other than one sentence, I think I figured it out. I did, however, need to add two prepositions. They are in brackets. I also changed the punctuation used near the words "Apollo laughing." Hope this helps.
There WAS one god, younger than all the others, Cupid. USING [h]is bows and arrows, he LIKED to GET into the hearts of men and women, MAKING them FALL in love.
One day, Apollo the sun god, FINISHING his dinner, DECIDED to TAKE a walk [WITH] Cupid. Apollo laughing SAID, "What IS a baby like you DOING [WITH] the weapons of a warrior?" Cupid BECAME very angry. USING a gold-tipped arrow, he SHOT it into Apollo's chest. Apollo only street. (I don't know about this sentence)
WALKING past them at that moment WAS Daphne, a water nymph. TAKEN by surprise, Apollo LOOKED at her and FELL immediately in love.
