For a girl we're choosing either
Eleanor Sylvanna or
Eleanor Daphne
For a boy we're choosing either
Carl Edward or
Carl Christopher
Our first child is a girl named Phoenix Alexandria. Please don't give me suggestions about how I should name it something else, either pick a name from above for each or don't answer please.
What do you think of the names we've chosen?
Eleanor Daphne
Carl Christopher
Reply:i realy like Eleanor Sylvanna for a girl and boy i like Carl Edward.
They are beautiful names an dont think it matters what everyone else thinks of it on here.
Good luck with the new baby
Reply:Eleanor Sylvanna
Carl Christopher
Reply:I love the name Eleanor, because it is beautiful and refined on its own, and to make it more youthful you can always shorten it to "Elle" as a nickname. I personally do not like either of the middle names, but then, middle names don't matter nearly as much.
I am not a big fan of Carl, so I guess I will just hope you don't have a boy. I like Edward only because it reminds me of Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre, my favorite book. Christopher I don't like or dislike.... I would probably love it but I have known some pretty awful Christophers in my life.
Hope everything goes well with the second birth!
Reply:eleanor daphne and carl christoper.
those are both very wonderful names!
Reply:Eleanor Daphne or Carl Edward... I really like dapne as a middle name CONGRATS
Reply:Nice names :)
Eleanor Daphne
Carl Edward
Reply:I like Eleanor Daphne or Carl Christopher. Good luck and Congrats on the baby!!!! =]
Reply:Eleanor, "foreign; the other".
Sylvanna, or Sylvana, meaning "from the forest".
Daphne, meaning "laurel" from the Greek myth.
Eleanor Sylvanna sounds a lot more elegant. It'd be nice to have a name like this to sign documents with a flourish.
Carl, originally "free man"
Edward, meaning "guardian of prosperity"
Christopher, meaning "Christ-bearer"
Carl Christopher would fit in nicely together with your trend of choice for elegant names (like your daughter's name, Phoenix Alexandria).
It'd be nice if the child could have an equally grand name as your firstborn. So I'd pick Eleanor Sylvanna or Carl Christopher.
Reply:Carl Edward coz i reckon first and middle name with same first letter sounds funny...
and Eleanor Daphne.
Goodluck
Reply:eleanor daphne is very nice! very ladylike...
i prefer carl edward. sounds to me like a gentleman and i hope he will be...
the names you've chosen is kinda old fashioned and i like it. it makes you think the person is worthy of respect and honor...
congrats!
Reply:Carl Edward and Eleanor Sylvanna are lovely names! Congratulations!
Reply:Eleanor Sylvanna
Carl Edward
Reply:Eleanor Daphne and Carl Christopher have a nice ring to them both :)
I've never heard of Phoenix before (as a name I mean) but it sounds so good!
Reply:I like Eleanor Daphne.
Reply:Carl Edward is my dad's name. haha That's cool. I think all the names are very nice and old fashioned. They aren't really common anymore but people know the names. I like Eleanor Daphne and Carl Edward. Carl Christopher I don't think goes well together. But very nice choices and good luck!
Reply:Sylvanna and Christopher
Reply:Carl Edward sounds great to me
Eleanor Daphine
beautiful names!
Reply:I like the name Pheonix Alexandria but i am not sure if any of the names really go with it. That name is really unique and original but the names you are saying now are really traditional. Anyway I like Ellie instead of Eleanor and for a middle name something like Grace. Ellie Grace? For the boys i actually quite like the name Carl Cristopher, it has a nice ring to it!
Reply:Girl:
Eleanor Daphne (but Sylvia would be much prettier)
Boy:
Carl Edward (Christopher Edward would be nicest of all)
Reply:my grandpa was carl edward so i like that, and eleanor daphne!
Reply:Eleanor Sylvanna
Carl Christopher WILL BE THE BEST
Reply:Carl Christopher and Eleanor Sylvanna
Reply:i would go for eleanor sylvanna
Reply:Eleanor Daphne
Carl Christopher
