You would take a book by which author with you on a long train journey?

James Hadley Chase is the best. I remember once I was reading The Girl who Loved Gordon by Stephen King and there was this elderly Dutch lady reading Jamica Inn of Daphne du Maurier. She'd never heard of Stephen King.

You would take a book by which author with you on a long train journey?
I would probably take the Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich. I love her stuff. It's so funny, my other favorite is The Women's Murder Club by James Patterson. Plus I'd have to take my lap top so I could access my all time favorite website... paperbackswap.com. It's the best resource for trading used books for free.
Reply:"middlesex" best book ever,it really captivates you and it`s good for bed, train ,plane,beach....anything
Reply:harry potter :-)
Reply:I would take a book by David Eddings. I recomend him if you're into fantasy. He tells a great story and I can really connect to his characters. Robin Hobb is a great fantasy author too. Her books are really intense.
Reply:I would say take the book by author Dan Brown or Nora Roberts, some one like that.
Reply:Dean Koontz, Robert Ludlam or Robert Crais
Reply:A Man in Full by Tom Wolfe.

(anything) in Death by J.D. Robb.

Something by Laurell K. Hamilton.

I would probably take some poetry as well.
Reply:Stephen King, Anne Rice, Rosalind Laker, Joseph Wambaugh -- any would be good. Depends on the length of the journey which book. There are tons more to choose from. Tolkien would be another good one.
Reply:I would take a couple books, one light and fun, something like Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett and another that was a classic, like Dickons or something. That way I have something for most moods. Maybe a Stephan King, also, so I wouldn't fall asleep.
Reply:On a train? Oh something easy and fun.. Maybe Robin Cook..
Reply:i would take any one of slyvia brownes books
Reply:Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Jonathan Safran Foer, David Eddings, Christine Wicker, Robin McKinley, Jane Fletcher, Anne Bishop, Nicole Kraus, Connie Willis, and/or Sarah Vowell.
Reply:George R R Martin never fails to hold my interest.
Reply:James Patterson. Always a good read; never disappointed.
Reply:Something by Frank Peretti, definitely.
Reply:I would deffinately have a Stephen King book but I have read most of them. Check out "Year Zero" %26amp; "The Descent" by Jeff

Long.
Reply:I can't read on trains. I get travel sick if I do anything except stare out the window!
